ActiVLayr nanofiber technology

Revolution Fibres Ltd., a global leader in nanofiber production has developed cutting-edge industrial-scale electrospinning infrastructure using its proprietary “sonic” electrospinning technology. In collaboration with global leaders in food and marine science, Revolution Fibres has developed a unique extraction process to obtain denatured whole chains of hoki fish collagen, suitable for electrospinning. ActiVLayr patented technology is made from electrospun collagen type I nanofiber membranes carrying a wide range of natural extracts and active cosmetic ingredients. ActiVLayr technology is one of the fastest delivery mechanisms in the skincare industry, fully dissolving into the skin in less than 10 seconds. ActiVLayr under-eye patches and facemasks are currently being commercialized in Latin America and Asia under the marketing of other established and upcoming brands in the cosmetic and skincare markets. ActiVLayr applications, clinical results, market trends, and future developments are discussed throughout this chapter.
